NPFL: Olanrewaju questions officiating in Enyimba’s draw against Rangers
Enyimba technical adviser, Olanrewaju Yemi was unhappy with officiating in the People’s Elephant oriental derby clash with Rangers.
The nine-time Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, champions were held to a 0-0 draw by Rangers in a matchday 15 tie in Aba on Tuesday.
The hosts dominated the game and had a goal disallowed by the centre referee.
Olanrewaju hopes there will be an improvement in the quality of officiating in the NPFL.
“We scored a goal, but whatever the referee’s reason for cancelling that goal is quite unfortunate,” the young tactician said in his post-match interview.
“We hope this league improves so that when a team makes an effort, they can see the fruits of that effort.”
