Sokoto United have assured their players of an improved welfare package in the ongoing Nigeria National League (NNL) season.

General manager of the club, Umar Muhammed Maraya, gave the assurance during his visit to the team’s training ground.

Maraya encouraged the players to focus on recording victories in their league matches.

“The new Commissioner of Ministry of Youths and Sports Development, Engineer Mustapha Muhammadu, has promised to increase the welfare package of the players and technical crew,” Maraya stated in his address.

“We will do everything possible to ensure that players receive all necessary welfare packages, including increased match bonuses and travel allowances.
